Where is our Cromwell?
It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place.
The country needs to be rid of most of the sitting elected “representatives”. That last word is in inverted commas because in no way are the representing anyone but themselves. Under our unwritten constitution, it seems they are sovereign and responsible only to voters who, all too often, find themselves voting for the “least-worst” candidate. Our First Past The Post system is no longer fit for purpose. Increased information, due to the advances of technology, has led to many different factions, even within the main parties. Our two-and-a-bit party system has had its day.
Gold is your God. Which of you have not bartered your conscience for bribes?
Our “factious crew” have a life of luxury, second homes paid for by the tax-payer, a generous salary and the ability to charge almost any expense up to the poor electorate that put them there. They don’t have to work if they don’t want to, can enter reality shows during parliamentary sessions and if they fancy a ‘fact finding trip’ overseas, there are always rich sycophants on hand to pick up any expenses. All too often, once in Parliament, they seem to forget the “representative” element and instead adopt the “dictator” role
Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation. You were deputed here by the people to get grievances redressed, are yourselves become the greatest grievance.
They pursue vanity projects like HS2, spending billions of the people’s money on a rail that will benefit no more than a few. In all honesty, ‘British democracy’ is no better than Russia, China, North Korea, Venezuela or any tin-pot, third-world dictatorship. The elite, from both sides, only look after themselves.
Ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would, like Esau, sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.
Children are left hungry whilst billions are given away in International Aid, funnelled through “charities” that employ Chief Executives on £500k per year. Somehow it always seems to be an ex-politician or aide who lands that rather cushy number.
Your country therefore calls upon me to cleanse this Augean stable, by putting a final period to your iniquitous proceedings in this House.
ur country therefore calls upon me to cleanse this Augean stable, by putting a final period to your iniquitous proceedings in this House.These parasites are not governing for the benefit of the people, but for themselves. Conservative and Labour, in league with the main stream media, huge corporations and supposed charities, are there to benefit only themselves. Citizens are criminalised for victimless crimes and every step towards greater “security” erodes ever more of the little freedom we have left. Would that I could march into the Commons and announce the following;
I command ye therefore, upon the peril of your lives, to depart immediately out of this place.
As I’ve got older, I’ve got angrier. The choice of red socialism or blue corporatism is, in practise, no choice at all. Corbyn has policies to return Labour to the seventies, yet the Conservatives have reached a level of taxation not seen in the UK since the late sixties. All that, and they cannot even balance the books, so they borrow more for our children to pay back. One can only think the following;
