Social Contract

I went through my papers last night looking for this contract with Government that Sir Keir Starmer was going on about on television yesterday,

He is a barrister therefore I assumed he knew what he was talking about , I also googled social contract theory.

Social contract theory, nearly as old as philosophy itself, is the view that a persons’ moral and/or political obligations are dependent upon a contract or agreement among them to form the society in which they live.

A contract depends on consent, I personally have not consented to any of this Starmer, I have not consented to not seeing loved ones since August, I have not consented to the Covid-19 Act which suspends civil liberties for two and a half years or to the destruction of the economy to ‘save the NHS’.

Just because you have got a Union Flag behind you does not make you any more credible than the buffoon sitting in number 10 with his four Union flags.

On the evening of 7 April 1775, Samuel Johnson made the famous statement, “Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel.” This line was not, as is widely believed, about patriotism in general, but the false use of the term “patriotism” by William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham (the patriot-minister) and his supporters.

I recall the words of a barrister who successfully represented my company in the Leeds Courts ten or more years ago ‘Barristers are merely whores who will say and do anything for money’.

I look at Starmer and know the truth of that statement, Where is this contract you are talking about ? I do not consent.
