Project Fear Continues To Unravel

West Midlands MEP Bill Etheridge says Project Fear is slowly being exposed as a complete fabrication as the lies continue to unravel.

A tweet from Andrew Neil revealed before the referendum (March 2016), the OBR forecast a £21bn deficit for 2018/19, but after the referendum, in November, the forecast rose to £46bn.

By 2018 Spring statement the forecast was still £37bn. In Monday’s Budget it will reveal the pre-referendum forecast was most accurate.

So there has been no Brexit-induced collapse in public finances.

Bill Etheridge MEP, the Libertarian Party UK Deputy Chairman said “Project Fear continues to unravel.

“The population has been fed a steady stream of lies in a bid by the establishment to discredit Brexit and change public opinion. It hasn’t worked.

“To see so many losers marching on Saturday, in a bid to defy democracy, was a depressing sight.

“There has been no lack of investment in UK PLC since the vote was taken. The truth is that the UK can flourish outside the EU – just so long as the Prime Minister and Parliament allow us to.”
