Dan Liddicott Resignation Statement
Dated 12th August 2020
Following the resignation of Dan Liddicott, Party Leader Adam Brown moved quickly to pay tribute
Adam Brown, Libertarian Party leader, said, “I want to thank Dan for his many years of service to the party as both a regional coordinator, election candidate and chairman of the party.
“It was with great sadness that I accepted his decision to stand down from the party.
“After receiving the news that Dan wished to stand down the NCC met to nominate a new interim Chairman to oversee the party business until the next conference when a new chairman can be elected by party members in accordance with our party constitution.
“We wish Dan all the best for his future endeavours and look forward to working with him in whatever way he looks to promote the cause of liberty in the future.”
Interim Chairman Glenville Gogerley added, “It was with great sadness and surprise that I learnt this morning of the resignation of Dan Liddicott as both Party Chairman and as a party member.
“Within my role as Membership Secretary, Dan and I had worked closely together on party business and Dan has become a friend of mine.
Having been elected as the Interim Chairman, I will work hard and diligently to take our party forward and to steady the ship.”
